Description
In a letter, Doherty urges an unnamed correspondent to talk with Edmund Kean about a letter which, if published in the newspaper, would enhance Kean's image in the public eye. In a postscript, Doherty states his close affiliation with the newspapers and promises to use his influence to help Kean. Letter contains an embossing and a watermark for "Basted Mill 1822." Last page contains a name possibly written by a second hand.
