Description
Original print has visible crease along lower left corner.; Photo may be attributed to Mac.
At his Silver Lake Laboratory, Gilbert Lee (not pictured) simultaneously saw and heard Miss Thelma Kirshner (not pictured) speak. An image "built up" itself through tiny perforations arranged in spiral fashion on the disc, seen here, which revolved at high speed in front of a powerful light. Her voice was received in the regular way by the loudspeaker operated in background. Photograph dated August 20, 1928.
