Photograph caption dated April 20, 1963 reads, "New firemen Fred McBryde and John M. Wigfield demonstrate a life line rescue technique on the drill tower at the Los Angeles Fire Department training center in North Hollywood. A total of 50 firemen demonstrated various rescue operations and fire-fighting techniques during their graduation day program at the training center."
