Description
Three-quarters length portrait, seated.
2013-1468.
Born in 1853 to J.M. Hinman and Betsy Burlingame Hinman in Toulon, Illinois. Family came to California in 1853 where father was Methodist minister. Married Marcus Martin Shuey in 1877 (divorced in 1906). Lived in variety of places in California, working as school teacher, wrote poetry which was published in numerous magazines. Died in 1921.
