Photograph caption dated April 27, 1963 reads, "Rev. Brininstool fights sin with Christianity." The article partially reads, "Rome fell. So has the San Fernando Valley. At least, in part, believes the Rev. Keith Brininstool, pastor of Sylmar Baptist Church...Divorce, immorality, alcholism, pornography and crime have reached cancerous stages in the Valley...The influences of materialism, communism, atheism and agnosticism continue to take their toll...'The only way to fight an idea is with a greater idea,' he said. 'And the greater idea is Christianity, not simply democracy.'"
