Black and white lantern slide showing three individuals and two children crossing a wide river in Peru. The group wades through the water or uses large stones in the river. The figure at the front of the group looks to be a porter, since he is carrying a large basket on his back. The two adults at the rear may be missionaries on account of their white wide-brimmed hats. This slide comes from a collection created by the Peruvian Inland Mission, an evangelical mission started in 1930 by Miss Annie G Soper in northeast Peru, which was administered by the evangelical interdenominational mission, Regions Beyond Missionary Union from 1948.
