Photograph of three men inspecting a large pendulum in the Griffith Park Observatory lobby, ca.1930-1950. Three men at center are looking at the pendulum which is suspended from the ceiling into a circular pit maked with astrological symbols in front of them. The first man on the left wears a light shirt with rolled up sleeves and a darkly colored smock. The man in the center weears a dark suit and tie while pointing to the pendulum. A third man stands to the right, farther from the first two, and wears a darkly colored jacket that appears to be leather over a smock. In the background, triangular ceramic tiles of two opposing colors cover the floor.
