Susan Buchel was the first professional curator of Scotty's Castle in Death Valley National Park. This recording preserves her memories of that work, as well as of the National Park Service community in Grapevine Canyon from circa 1980 to circa 2005, a unique and close-knit place through which many members of the National Park Service passed during their careers.
