Description
The former estate of Greek-born Alexander Pantages (1867-1936), located at 590 N. Vermont Ave., is being razed to accomodate a new Jewish community center. Part of the foundation has been demolished by a steam shovel. Note the mansion's leaded glass solarium in the center of the image. Photo dated: July 5, 1950.
