The dancers dressed in the colorful, informal attire of the Cote d'Azur, famous seaside resort section in the south of France. The ball took its name from Cap d'Antibes, a small watering place where smart folk forget the formalitites of city life in an air of rustic ease. Photo dated: Dec. 18, 1937.
