Three missionaries show off the carcasses of the animals they have killed during a hunting trip. All three men are holding their rifles as they pose for the picture. Two fawns are hanged by their hind legs from a tree. The chest cavity of one of the deers is visible after having been gutted. Two boars are also on display. One is mounted on a bench. The other is strung over a piece of timber jutting out of a brick wall. Written on the back of this photograph: "Left to right: Leonard, Pig (Leonard's), Pig (Hubbard's), Lewis, Hubbard. Above: 2 deer (Hubbard's). Jan. 1922." The Rev. Emery Ward Ellis was an ABCFM missionary in Tehchow Sung from 1904-1927.
