Photograph article dated October 26, 1949 partially reads, "It takes a lot of love and patience to win the confidence of a coyote. Kathryn Agnew, 11085 Columbus Ave., San Fernando, has gone one step further and brought together as friends, a full grown buck deer and coyote. Two years ago the Agnews owned one small dog for a pet. Then things began to happen. Turtles wandered into their yard and were given a safe refuge from the traffic on Mission Blvd... The little coyote Ramona was six weeks old when brought in from the highway with his front leg injured. Nursed back to health by Kathryn, she, or he, follows her about like a dog."
