A 20-foot-high bin packed with sand and gravel for concrete collapsed on three workers Friday in Vernon, killing one man and trapping another for ore than an hour in the twisted debris. Killed in the accident at Livingston-Graham Inc. was Al Oberlies, 39, of Fontana. Oberlies and two other Livingston-Graham employees were apparently welding the tower when it suddenly gave way. Photograph dated February 11, 1983.
