The next year, she was its president. She managed the campaigns that put Jim Corman on the city council and then moved him to Congress. While serving as Corman's field deputy ( [sic] the first and only woman deputy in the history of the Los Angeles City Council, she took time off to manage Pat Brown's gubernatorial campaign....Now she's preparing for her fourth campaign: Corman's re-election in 1962 in the new 22nd Congressional District."
