Photograph caption dated January 23, 1962 reads, "Judy Utz, 22, and her brother, Jim, 15, watch the latest addition to their family prepare to take a dip in the pond left by the recent rain on the lawn of their Dixie Canyon avenue home. The addition is a wild mallard who took refuge under some shrubs at the Utz home a week ago and would only come out for the corn and rice left by Mrs. Utz. That was until the rain provide him with a natural habitat. Mrs. Utz walks across the lawn, but her husband, William, was not available for the picture. He's on a duck-hunting expedition in Mexico."
