Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 3, 1961 reads, "Shaheen al-Moraikhi (arrow), shown swinging on a life line from the Los Angeles City fire Department's drill tower 3, 7063 Laural Canyon Blvd., North Hollywood, was one of 41 rookie firemen [that] graduated from a fire-fighting course Friday. The Arabian fireman is an employee of the Arabian American Oil Co., Dharan, Saudi Arabia. The eight-week course taught the new firemen fire department procedures and fire fighting techniques. The men will be assigned to field units April 6,7 and 8."
