Photograph caption dated February 11, 1979 reads, "County firemen inspect the frame of a small plane that crashed on take-off at Compton Airport. The plane was departing runway 25 right when it lost control and crashed into a nearby home. Nobody was injured inside the home, but two adult males were killed upon impact. The light is from a fireman's lantern."
