Description
Pitzer's first president John W. Atherton examines architectural models for the Pitzer College campus in 1963. He appears to be pointing at the model for what will become McConnell Center. Left of "McConnell Center" is the future Holden Hall. Mead Hall is on the left at the foreground of image. Sanborn Hall is to the right of McConnell and a glimpse of Avery Hall to the front of that. Note: The building names can be identified in hindsight but were not necessarily identifiable as such at the time this image was taken.
