Description
Sacramento resident Jack Stanfill participated in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Marines. As a Military Policeman, he was tasked with securing prisoners and a forward operating base and hospital at Dong Ha. His remaining time in country was filled with time as a band member at Da Nang. Upon returning home, he rises above the trauma of War by pursuing music education at the University of Portland, fueling a 33-year career as a music teacher with the San Juan School District.
