Description
Photograph of a view of San Bernardino's Third Street, showing the Stewart Hotel and other buildings, ca.1900. The wide dirt road is at center and a single set of streetcar tracks runs in the middle of the street. Concrete sidewalks and buildings line both sides of the road. Several horse-drawn carriages can be seen in the street, and two pedestrians can be seen crossing at right. The buildings at right are two stories high and are made of bricks. A three-story building can be seen at left. In the distance at right, a large domed structure is visible. Legible signs include, from left to right: "Millinery", "Southern Pacific Company", "Hardware Paints", "Western Union Telegraph Office", and "Southern Pacific Company Freight & Ticket Office".
