Photograph caption dated March 22, 1941 reads, ""Stewart is shown standing in line at Fort MacArthur as he received his first meal in the Army. He eats at the same mess table as a draftee who used to wait on him at the swank Clover Club, Hollywood play spot. Fellow draftees started right off calling Stewart ""Slats"" and ""High Pockets.""
