Annotation translation: "The Principal of the Sanscrit College in Pattambi, about 25 Km. from Paraperi. A quite orthodox hindu, and very old. He is a pious man according to his own laws, but despises the cross." Annotation: "Der Prinzipal vom Sanskritcollege in Pattambi, etwa 25 km von Parapperi. Ein ganz orthodoxer Hindu & schon steinalt, nach dem Gesetz ein frommer Mann, aber ein Verächter des Kreuzes." Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission, Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
