Photograph caption dated March 22, 1957 reads, "Officer shackles Allan Ray Queen, 'conscience-stricken bandit,' to another prisoner after his preliminary hearing in Van Nuys Municipal Court. Queen turned himself in to police, saying he robbed a Studio City gas station but became 'conscience-stricken' afterwards. He will be arraigned on one count of robbery."
