Photograph caption dated August 25, 1956 reads, "Dick Olmstead, seated, and Russell Brundige, of 723 E. San Jose Ave., Burbank, find fishing enjoyable part of recreation offered Valleyites at Hansen Dam, located off Glenoaks boulevard in Pacoima area. Dam, built by Los Angeles District Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army was completed in 1940. Purpose of dam is to control flood waters. Drainage area includes 147 square miles."; See images #00118061 through #00118062 for all photos in this series.
