Description
State Office Building Number One, pictured above in circa 1930, was the first of two Capitol extension buildings to open in circa 1928, housing departments ranging from agriculture to veteran’s affairs. Constructed of granite and terra cotta finished in granite, the building and its companion structure, the State Library and Courts Building, were intended to be easily recognizable as extensions of the State Capitol.
