Description: Photograph caption dated June 17, 1959 reads, "White whale 'Buttercup' greets Jeff Crosswell, 6, the champion whale weight-guesser of Southern California, at the Super Sea Circus in Pacific Ocean Park. Jeff guesses the baby whale's weight at 434 pounds in a contest involving more than 20,00 other entries. Other estimates ranged from four pounds to '146,200 pounds per square inch.'"
