This 4-paneled stained glass window depicting the Santo Nin~o de Atocha is located along one of the walls at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 1011 East "L" Street and the corner of Sanford Ave. in the city of Wilmington. Rows of pews are visible below the windows.; The Santo Nin~o de Atocha ("Holy Child of Atocha"), popular in the Hispanic culture, is a Roman Catholic depiction of the Infant Jesus. Portrayed as a small Spanish pilgrim boy, the image of the child Jesus is dressed in a long gown with a cape that has a wide lace collar and frilled cuffs. The Santo Nin~o de Atocha is usually shown holding a little basket in his left hand and a water gourd suspended from a staff in his right hand; he wears huaraches and a large, floppy hat with a feather.
