Water spouts from fountains in a pool watched over by four cupids on a terrace leading to the mansion of Earle C. Anthony at 3405 Waverly Dr. Oleanders, foreground, face the pool and on the right, steps lead to further terraces. The house is situated on an eight-acre hilltop site and commands an unobstructed view in all directions.; The house was designed by Bernard Maybeck with John White as his associate architect. Earle was a radio pioneer who founded and owned, until his death in 1961, radio station KFI AM 640. He also was known as a prominent Packard automotive dealer in Los Angeles.
