Description
Shown in circa 1941 is a squad of soldiers taking cover during a training exercise at McClellan Field. the installation served as a major supply and aircraft maintenance base during World War II. During the war, McClellan primarily prepared P-40 fighters and B-17 and B-26 bombers with many then being sent to the Pacific Theater of Operations.
