Description: Student volunteer Michelle Quinones delivers books to Mrs. May Woods as part of the Service to Shut-Ins program initiated by the West Valley Region of the Los Angeles Public Library. Using volunteers, the library delivers books to West Valley residents unable to come to the library. Residents in the West Valley area can call their local branch library to receive the service or become a volunteer. Photo dated: August 19, 1971.
