Description
Photograph caption dated Septempber 21, 1959 reads, "Walter Lantz, one of America's most outstanding animated film cartoonists, smiles broadly as he is presented an award on behalf of the City of Los Angeles for his many years of work in development of motion picture cartoon industry. Award was presented by C. Lemoine Blanchard, second district councilman, at right. Lantz, who organized and served as first president of the Animated Cartoon Producers Association, was also voted a resolution commending him for his work."
