Portrait of two elderly gentlemen standing arm in arm, both ordained ministers. On the left is Hakim Singh an indigenous pastor, and Sikh convert, who was based in Wazirabad and Jammu. On the right stands John Forbes White Youngson (1852-1920) who was based in Jammu and became Moderator of the General Assembly, India. He retired in 1907 but remained in India until his death. The Christian town of Youngsonabad was named in his honour and he is the author of ‘The Panjab Mission 1855-1895’ and ‘The History of the Churhas’. This image is used in the frontispiece of the former published title.
