Photo identification provided by Chris T. Higgins, California Division of Mines and Geology. Photograph shows furnace at the Wide Awake Mine, Sulphur Creek Mining District, Colusa County. A similar view taken later is shown in photograph sc21064. Remnants of this furnace are still visible at the mine site.
