Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated February 22, 1965 reads "Sarah Lee and Ted Douherty lay a wreath a statue of George Washington on the old Hall of Records grounds. They represent the California State Society of Children of the American Revolution in observing Washington's 233rd birthday. A program also was held there." The children are standing next to the statue with the wreath and several women are seated behind them. There are trees in the background.
