Description
A cabinet card, studio portrait of an African American woman, Steckel, Los Angeles, circa 1890. The middle aged woman sits at a three quarter profile angle. She has short curled hair cut close to her head and wears a puffed sleeve, wool coat with a big bow tied at the collar. The reverse includes information about Steckel's accomplishments and studio location at 220 South Spring St. The item is in good condition, minor abrasion to the back with some acid burn.
