"Wittekleibosch. Schulhaus und Schüler." ("Wittekleibosch. School building and students."). The picture shows a group of around 60 schoolboys and schoolgirls of African origin. Some sit some stand. Some teachers stand behind them. In the background a house and trees. Written on the card board: "Br. Baudert 1930." ("Br[other] Baudert 1930."). Wittekleibosch is an outstation of Clarkson. -- The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane.
