Description
Bruce Goldsmith discusses his novel, “Blue Numbers.” He begins by explaining that his book is about a young man who must compete with his siblings to run the family business. He talks about how his characters are Jewish and determined to chase ex-Nazis in the 1970s. He discusses how the family structure of his novel is similar to Shakespeare’s King Lear. Goldsmith describes his main character’s motivation for bringing to justice Nazis who worked in concentration camps. He ends the interview by talking about how his character starts an underground newspaper, and that he was always fascinated by underground journalism.
