Description
Photograph of Bucks Meadow, before the lake, at the time of the construction. Donor/Source: Ron Hanford (owned by Glenn Way) GMW 1500632. Plumas County Bucks Meadow before lake, at time of construction 1926. This is now Bucks Lake over 100 feet deep and a wonderful summer resort and vacation spot. Eagle Mountain in the distance. Audio Tape #16B-503. The dam construction had rushed all through the year of 1926 to get it high enough to catch some of winter's water. That the water is starting to cover Bucks Ranch is the evidence by which GMW dates this photo.
