Description
Photograph of a drawing of cattle brands from Mission San Gabriel, Mission San Fernando and Mission San Juan Capistrano, ca.1900. Each mission's individual mark is shown: San Gabriel's brand is an "S" cutting through the vertical line of an upper case "T". San Fernando appears to have a number 4 as their insignia, while San Juan has both an ear mark, which appears as a fleur-de-lis, and a brand, which looks like an upturned scythe. San Gabriel also has a second brand, which appears to be a line-drawing of a spur.
