Description
Photograph of painting depicting an exterior view of the Great Pyramid of Cholula, Mexico, [s.d.]. Much of the pyramid in the distance is covered by moss and grass making it appear as though it is a hill, at the top of which the castle-like structure of the central monument is visible. In the center foreground, a courtyard is pictured surrounded by a stone wall at the center of which another temple or monument can be seen behind various trees. In the extreme foreground, a wooden frame stands in what appears to be tilled rows of farmland. Picture file card identifies the pyramid as having been built by the Toltecs in the 6th century.
