Bill Graham may be referring to prominent concert promotor and impresario Bill Graham, who was very active in the San Francisco Bay Area. In tribute, the San Francisco Civic Auditorium (one of the oldest buildings and one of two remaining in San Francisco from the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition in its original location) was renamed to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
