Description
In the background are the Chuckwalla Mountains, located near Desert Center, just southeast of Joshua Tree National Park in Riverside County. In 1994 the United States Congress created the Chuckwalla Mountains Wilderness, an area made up of approximately 84,614 acres. November 1936.
