Photograph caption dated January 22, 1958 reads "Music teachers from all over the Valley are expected to attend an all-day music clinic, 'Creative music for the Home' to be presented by William McMains, noted organist and organ authority, Thursday, Feb. 6, at the North Hollywood Women's Club, under auspices of the Netzow Piano Co., of 12324 Ventura blvd., Studio City, agents for Conn Organ Co. McMains pioneered in the nation wide movement to simplify organ construction." McMains is pictured at a Republican National Convention. He played at both the Republican and Democratic national conventions in the 1950s.
