The ruin in the cave and on the bottom land below is one of the most remarkable prehistoric buildings in the United States. It was when built, a continuous structure from the ground to the buildings in the cave. It was three stories high on the ground and the buildings in the cave were entered from the roof of the upper story. The photograph was made in 1910 since which time flood waters have carried away the lower ruin."
