Description
Stereo-5238. Shows dam (rock construction) constructed across the San Pedro River, delivered water to mills via ditch and flumes. Orange mount, purple back. Richard Gird was born in 1836 in New York; came to California in 1852. In 1870's to 1880's was in Arizona, engaged in mining industry, helped establish the Tombstone District.
