Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated December 25, 1956 reads “Mrs. Peggy Boughen of Reseda peeks outside at Christmas morning with present she’s longed for many years—her brand new adopted daughter, Marcia, 22 months. Boughens waited years for child of their own, then more years for child from adoption agency. Their reward was blue-eyed, golden-haired Marcia.” See image 00146997 for additional photo in this series.
