Photograph of a road in Topanga Canyon near Fernwood, ca.1915. The road is in the foreground at right and winds its way along the base of the steep canyon wall into the distance at center. It is bordered by a wooden fence at left. The bottom of the canyon is at left and a rocky streambed is visible. It is lined with tall leafless trees and rough bushes. The steep canyon walls are both covered in dense vegetation. A steep mountain rises to the right in the background.
