Description: Dam #6, located just downstream from Powerhouse #8, impounds water to be used at Powerhouse #3, several miles down the San Joaquin River. Occasionally, during periods of the highest spring runorff, the volume of water coming down the San Joaquin River is enough to spectacularly overtop the dam.
