W. A. Barry, custodian of the liquor room at Lincoln Heights police station, taking inventory of beer making apparatus and beer seized. Raids were made on two San Fernando breweries disguised as poultry farms. Nick Braddick and Pete Pace were arrested. Pace is said to have told police he and Braddick were members of the Detroit "purple gang" of beer runners. Photograph dated June 24, 1931.
