Description: This photo shows two young women in the laboratory of Calavo Growers of California. The first is scraping avocado into a beaker, and the second is possibly checking the temperature of a different flask. A crate stamped with "Calavo Brand Avocados" can be seen on a table ledge and a bowl of avocado ice cream is also visible on the tabletop. The Calavo plant is located in the Central Manufacturing District at 4803 Everett Street in Los Angeles.
